Princess Zelda | The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

To her dismay, the numerous people with pointed ears like her own were not from her kingdom. It had been her hope that seeing such familiar features meant that she was not alone in this strange world. Usually, curiosity would overtake any sort of somber thinking, but thoughts of family and friends, and importantly of home, had clouded such behavior outright.

She found herself sitting on a bench, hands clasped atop her lap as her head grew heavy and lowered her eyes upon the floor. Unconsciously had her tears begun to fall, her thoughts so focused on the world she had been plucked from. It felt as if mere moments ago she was using the entirety of her being to keep nightmares at bay, speaking with the one glimmer of hope Hyrule had on its side. Now? Now she was crying in front of passerbys, lost, feeling hopeless and feeling as useless as a slotted spoon in a bowl of broth.

While other vigilant adventurers would stay on task and keep to the trail, it was a different and all too difficult thing to keep a curious mind focused on what actually needed to be done. Zelda, and her insatiable thirst to explore the unknown, was once more crouched down on her hands and knees in the tall grass of the road side. She hadn't heard the others calling out to her, and it was only until she'd finally succeeded in her own personal side-quest that she once again approached the group with her recent discovery.

"Yes! I cannot believe I was able to find one! Here! Look at this! Can you believe it? I found a Dream Cricket! I heard some of the locals here saying that there are a variety of different uses for an insect matching this description. It can augment a lot of different feats for one who consumes it, but I have not yet seen one in practice. The space out here is not the most ideal, but that should not keep us from attempting a test."

She holds her hands out, cupping the the rather large insect but still allowing others to get a good sight of the bulbous eyes and fluttering legs as it hops for escape without success.

"Go on then", she orders, "Eat it! Someone of your stature and constitution should be just fine with this experiment. Eat it and we shall see just what happens. Well? Why do you hesitate? Go on then!"
