"What am I gonna do?" Selphie wondered out loud as she leaned back slightly. "Well, where I grew up, we always helped others. We defended others. We protected each other."

Selphie intentionally left out the part about the Sorceress. It's far easier to digest without a complete stranger knowing what the true purpose of SeeD actually was. Hope looked like he enough to worry about without having to know about a group of child soldiers. It made her miss them more to even bring up her ragtag family.

"I think I'll carry on that tradition here," she decided after a bit of thought. "I'm not the type to sit still and wait for someone else to figure things so I'll start to put the pieces together in my own way."

Selphie let her head hang back as she stared up at the ceiling. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have to start somewhere and go from there. Find something that you do and make a difference."
