[It doesn't take much for Jade to keep his level mask upon hearing of this place's name from the locals out and about, but it certainly is another brand of trying to see all these rather familiar place names on the map, a dozen possibilities swimming around idly in his head as he wonders why that is the case.
He's leaning against a wall, studying the latest set of pamphlets given to him when he feels a pair of eyes on him. Lifting his gaze from the papers, he meets them square on, his usual, polite smile on his face.]

F/G. A Militaristic Approach
[Jade doesn't really wait for anyone to get passive-aggressive about him about finding an actual job. Once he's settled his business on the Asterisk front, he takes the time to check out the listings, as well as some of these "quests" available for adventurers to partake in.
While certain jobs have caught his eye, he supposes that he might as well take advantage of the freedom afforded him before he commits to any of these seeming long-term commitments so to speak.
...And that is how Jade Curtiss, colonel and fonist extraordinaire, finds himself working a simple janitor job for a few days. Despite the task not being his idea of a good time, it seemed like an interesting way to get another view of the culture around the place, as well as come across any other information he wouldn't otherwise.
That said, it doesn't stop him from being a small terror of a kind, sighing dramatically as folds his hands over his deck brush and rests his chin lightly on top of it.]
...This job is quite the number on my poor, old bones.
[Perhaps you're his unfortunate coworker, or a hapless passerby less than aware of his ability to push warehouse crates with just one hand. Will you end up doing his job for him... or not?]
