B. Curti Center

A few days after the big mission from the Dream Width to retrieve the newcomers, and the initial chaos is finally starting to die down. Now that the interdimensional travelers have been brought up to speed on their situation and temporarily housed, there is a lull in activity.

It is the perfect time to start collecting feedback on their situation. In the Curti Center’s lobby, a young man with a silver braid and a sansetsukon holstered on his back has dragged the nightstand from his assigned room and positioned it against an empty stretch of wall. On top of it, he places a heavy wooden crate with a slot cut into it. Finally, he pins a piece of parchment to the front of the box, reading COMMENT BOX.

He steps back, viewing the setup from this new vantage point, and nods to himself. To complete the arrangement, he pulls a pad of paper and a couple of borrowed ‘Curti Center Visitor’s Center’ pens from a pocket and places them beside the box.

Until he can determine who is the new party leader best person to monitor the comments, Freyjadour plans collect them, organize them, and send them on to the Curti staff to help improve the new arrivals’ lives here in Vaikuntha.]

C. Up in the Sky

[On the open deck of an airship, Freyjadour looks out on the world. His eyes go wide as he lets his gaze travel down. The ship is much higher up than he expected. His knuckles go white gripping the railing.]

This is very different from sailing…

[Well, there is one thing that is not so different. He is used to small, quick boats on the winding branches of the Feitas River, but his stomach is starting to make a comparison between this and ocean travel, even though there is no nauseating rocking of waves in the airship. Something about the altitude, the movement, and the wide expanse of sky below separating them from the earth has his pale face going green.

He scrambles back from the railing, clasping a hand over his mouth. Vomiting into the ocean is one thing. He does not want to lose his lunch where it might rain down on some unsuspecting person. He folds to his knees, hoping desparately that there’s a basin or something within reach, or someone who will take pity on him and help a seasick (skysick?) traveler out.]

F. Sidequests

[Here is something familiar. Freyjadour eyes the posting board excitedly. Simple quests like these have, in the past, led him to find and recruit amazing people to his army and make new friends. Besides, Frey has never been good at waiting around with nothing to do. An adventure is just what he needs to help himself settle in to his new home.]

Am I only allowed to take one at a time?

[If he was sailing to Ela Nhor port anyways to explore the ruins on the island there, it was just good planning to go ahead and collect the 10 Zadom Leathers for the armor-maker along the way. Maybe if he could recruit a few more party members, they could each take one and work together on them as they traveled.]

Which one are you planning on taking? [He asks the person nearest to him.]

G. Get a Job

What can I get for you today? [Freyjadour asks, a polite smile on his face. He is dressed in the same uniform as the other waiters for this little café, a black button down shirt, black pants, and an apron tied around his waist. The pants are a little weird, in his opinion, but he likes his job otherwise. It is a great way to meet new people.]

We have a special on Hot Choco-Cocoa, which is flavored with a blending of several types of greens.

[The menu boasts that this beverage is also served with homemade mog-mallows and sprinkled with a layer of ‘kwespy crushed pepio nuts’, which Frey is not going to say out loud unless his manager is listening in. On top of being ridiculous, it does not sound all that appetizing, even though Frey has brought enough strange ingredients to his chefs to know they can make delicious creations out of anything.]
