While he could sit down and read about the land, he preferred to going out and seeing it for himself. No better way to understand it unless one were to traverse it themselves... even if they were forced to be in the accompaniment of others. And it wasn't the large yellow bird-steed or small flying creature either.
Instead, he kept occasionally glancing sideways at the individual with him, watching them, but not saying anything before turning forward again.
