A. RETRIEVAL Dreams fade slowly, and awareness returns in increments. The hum of machinery, the smell of recycled air, the murmurs of others waking up around you. The interior of the ship has been outfitted with cots for those Biggs and Wedge retrieve from the Dream Width. Outside of the makeshift infirmary, windows set into the walls of the worn lounge area offer a view of space. It’s time to meet your fellow new arrivals who have been brought together on Biggs and Wedge’s airship. The other newly-awakened people have no idea how they came to be here, but now's a good time as ever to introduce yourself to the others on the airship and glean what information you can. B. CURTI CENTER The researchers at the Curti Center are not quite so unprepared as last time, but it is still obvious that they are struggling to understand the sudden influx of interdimensional travelers from the Dream Width. "Please step into the lobby for a quick survey. Perhaps there is some common thread we haven't discovered yet..." The staff will do their best to help the off-worlders settle in. They answer the questions they can, write down all proffered information they can about the arrivals' homeworlds, provide maps and pamphlets about Vaikuntha and the destinations within it, and even guide the arrivals to a neighborhood where housing has been provided for you. Yes, due to the strange influx of arrivals, you’ll be expected to share, but the Curti staff are doing the best they can, considering they are still housing the previous arrivals here on the island. Experiences like these bring people together. Perhaps you are the only one here from your world, but at least you are not alone in this experience. Others are right beside you, learning the same information, planning trips to visit the same new cities, checking out these Job things, and settling in to their new (temporary) homes. C. UP IN THE SKY There’s a whole new world to explore. It’s almost enough to distract from the fact that there’s one place you can’t go- home. You are on an Airship, the main mode of transportation between the major cities of Vaikuntha. While the majority are owned by airlines, perhaps you hitched a ride with a friend that has their own. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness. D. GUILDS Proud representatives of the Guild are lined up, ready to demonstrate their skills for the new initiates. Make sure to stay behind the designated line, this might get dangerous. So you want a new Job? You'll have to first travel to the Guilds, sign the papers, go through the orientation and introductory lectures, and get basic training. Afterwards, you can freely chat and practice with your fellow members, celebrating your new powers, and checking out your new wardrobe. E. LET'S BE ADVENTURERS Separated from all of your material possessions, connections, and everything you know, and really, what you’re left with is time. Better try to make the most of it. Enough expository banter. It's explorin' time. Maybe instead of spending every day in your room, you'd rather spend it living it up in the city of Lavode, or betting on Chocobo Races in Sparks Goldsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the caves and ruins near Arito. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere! F. SIDEQUESTS Maybe you’re telling yourself, ‘I didn’t sign up for this.’ But wait, you did. At least it pays. It all started when you checked the Quest Board.  All you wanted was a few gil to spend, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or you could be asked to be janitor for a week. Consider yourself lucky though, at least you don't have to do that alone. G. GET A JOB (THE OTHER KIND) You’ve got a Job, but Claire keeps sighing and muttering about layabout space-people not earning their keep, so it might be time to seek out Employment as well. There are plenty of opportunities to earn some gil in Vaikuntha, no matter where you choose to settle down. Your iMog slate includes listing for employment opportunities. Hopefully you can find something you can live with so that you can start saving up for an airship or the security payment for your permanent housing. H. MOGNET *Ding!* You’ve got Mog-Mail! Thankfully, you can instantaneously chat with your friends around the world thanks to you iMog Slate. And unlike old-fashioned Moogle Letters, you can even send messages to everyone in a blink of an eye! However, despite the change in technology, the old tradition of Mognet Strikes have never gone away. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public boards or risk message corruption and mishandling. I. RANDOM ENCOUNTER The ground trembles, and out of nowhere, something hostile appears! Is that battle music playing? You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Will you try to fight on your own or seek help? And remember, you die in random battle, you die FOR REAL. There’s no shame from running from enemies that are a higher level than you! J. CHOCOBO MADNESS You look at the giant chicken, and the giant chicken looks back at you. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful relationship? Holding his chest, there was a dull ache. It wasn't a physical ache however, it was a ache that felt empty, like he was missing something important. As it stood however, he bit his lip, as he got up to the railing. "Looks like I'm playing this game solo, Parad," he said to the air, expecting a reply and getting nothing.

Everything about this world seemed familiar. The jobs, the fighting styles, it was all out of a RPG game, more specifically Taddle Quest. Taddle Quest was Genm Corp's most important game next to Mighty and it reminded him of how this mission needed to be cleared with no continues. It was so eerily similar to his own world, he was actually really quite looking forward to it.

However, he was looking at White Mage and calculating the output of offensive a defensive abilities. "It's purely a back line," said Emu. "Not really my thing..."

[Waking up someplace he didn't know or recognize wasn't something Yangus was accustomed to, and it sure wasn't something that helped his mood at all. The large brigand can be found stomping through the halls of the airship, grimacing all about, pointing out anyone he comes across.]

Oy! What's all this about, then? I was in the middle of some real tricky business. Important stuff, ya catch me? Ain't got time for you to go thinking you could pinch me up and out.

[Someone wasn't really believing he was that far gone until he saw the map that he was in another world. But here he is, standing in the middle of the center, looking at one of the maps in his hand. A whole different world. Huh.

Yangus keeps reading the map as he lumbers about the center, occasionally bumpbing into people.]

[He folds the map up in a hand as he looks at you and the place.]

[After following the directions to get one, Yangus is genuinely surprised at the sight of the chocobo. At the sight of it, it's hard not to think the thing isn't some kind of monster.]

[ Moira is not pleased by this change of scenery when she failed to agree to it. When she first wakes up she paces with her hands folded neatly behind her back. She tries to enter some other areas only to be shooed away. With nothing else to do she takes a seat on an empty cot. She unfolds her hands and rests them in her lap. ]

What an troublesome turn of events. [ At least she looks like she's more indifferent to the situation than she is. ] I cannot imagine we are here merely to sit on idle hands.

B: Curti Center

[ For anyone who decided to check out the residential area Moira has been guided to where she was told she would be living. She stays outside the home with her head slightly tilted. She had bothered the attendant for information beforehand about it but she still is on the fence about this whole "sharing a living space" deal. She waits outside until someone else approaches the same home. ]

[ Moira has taken her dear old time before joining any guild. One part was due to annoyance that her equipment was not with her thus taking away her own abilities. She placed no trust in those who would disarm her. Eventually she settled for something a little different.

Outside the illusionists guild she cam be found hovering around the area. Though as she moves she keeps trying to adjust the robes to settle comfortably. ]

Hm..."magic" is capable of fascinating things. Perhaps it would be worth looking into further...

[Emeralda had wandered out of her explanation meeting pretty quickly, not having the patience for listening to people talking and talking when she still didn't entirely understand what was going on.]

[Instead, the teen was walking through the center, green hair trailing behind her, staring at all the people passing by, looking for any faces she recognized. They had to be here, didn't they? They wouldn't have left her alone like this. Short and thin, dressed in slightly ragged clothing, she only stood out because of that hair of hers, and the annoyed expression on her face.]

[She huffed to herself.]

[There had been a book she noticed, too high for her to reach but with a brightly colored cover that kept drawing her eye, and finally she stopped, looking up at it for a few seconds before she stretched her arm up towards it...]

[And nothing happened.]

What?

[She dropped her arm down, staring at her hand, flexing the fingers slowly, and then stretched her arm up again. Stretch. Stretch!]

[Nothing happened!]

Can't change. [She said, dropping her hand again, turning to look at whomever happened to be passing by.]

Emeralda can't change! Why can't change?

Up in the Sky

[Emeralda stood at the front of the ship, her hands on the railings, leaning up on her tip-toes as she felt the wind against her face and arms and whipping through her hair. All her times flying at home had been inside ships or in her gear. This was...amazing.]

This wonderful!

[She shouted, loud enough for anywhere to hear, and then laughed happily.]

Let's be adventurers!

[Emeralda slid to a stop at the crossroad, standing on her tiptoes as if that would somehow let her see farther, to where the forest they were going to was. She was carrying a giant two-handed axe, and she let the blade thunk into the road as she turned back towards her companion, waving her free hand wildly.]

Hurry! Hurry! We almost there!

[She was practically bouncing in place from her excitement.]

[This ain't right.]

[One fist against the wall, Jecht grips his face with the other hand, squeezing like he's trying to hold it all together. There's so much stress in the uncovered muscles of his shoulders and back he looks like he's about to burst.]

[How the hell, how the hell, does a man come back from -- where he was? From what he is? Is this just some sick strange dream, or--]

Gnrrrrh! [He lifts his fist an inch off the wall, then slams it back down, hard, and straightens up.] How many stories do I gotta reach the end of anyway?

D. Guilds

[The final twitch of his finger on his slate, and his Job is set. After all that effort, the slog here and the irritation of paperwork and the obnoxious lectures from some kid who thought he's twice as great as Jecht at half the age, and...]

I learned how to punch things again.

[He flips his slate back into his belt, curls one hand into a fist, and then drills it into his open palm like he's tackling some guy so hard they wouldn't find him till after the game was over and everyone had time to search the neighboring blocks. But the result is disappointing as hell, to judge by the grimace and distaste on his face.]

Man, I'm really starting over here. Again! I can't outpunch a Hypello like this!

G. Get a Job

Boring, boring, boring -- [Lounging on a cafe chair like he's king of the whole market square, Jecht flips through the job listings with an arrogant dismissal for good honest work that, honestly, probably suits a man who would be a gillionaire if muscles were money.] Janitor, yeah right. Library employee, sure, they want me doing that. Heh, weapon shop employee --

[His feet his the ground as he sits bolt urpight, a look of surprise and, almost weirdly, sincere delight on his face.] They have blitz here? Ha!

[Jecht jumps to his feet, the slate whirling into the air with a triumphant victory toss.] Now this place is starting to feel like home!

[Man, having his old man around is weird. But after everything they've been through, he feels compelled to at least try to help.]

Whoa there, wait a sec. Was there something Auron didn't tell me about the shoopuf incident?

[ Valamia is in fact a little too big for the cot she wakes up in. Her legs are left hanging over the edge, tail hanging over the side. She is awake and aware as she keeps staring up at the ceiling. She takes a deep breath and lets out a long exhale. ]

Ugh, who was the one who messed up the portal? [ Slowly she pushes herself to sit upright. A quick look over the area has made something very clear. She is not at all where she intended to be. ] This isn't an alliance ship, is it?

B: Curti Center

[ She's glad when everyone finally arrives at the center. Talk about a possible stroke of good luck. The downside is that even among all the other native races she still sticks out like a giant purple thumb. She wraps her tail as close to around her hip as she can to try and take up a little less space. She collects a couple of pamphlets and tries to read and walk at the same time.

It almost works until she manages to take a wrong step and she tumbles over. The few pamphlets lay on the ground in front of her and she curses under her breath. ]

Ugh...damn different world, taking me from my people. [ Slowly she sits up and rests a hand on her hip. ] Ow, ow ow.

D: Guilds

[ When she finally realizes that she isn't a shaman and cannot commune with the elements anymore she's torn between joy and loss. As much as she was uncomfortable with her abilities it was something she was growing into. Yet she doesn't look for anything close to what she was back home.

Instead she is in Von Oktavia and just outside of the paladin guild. She has her arms folded across her chest and her brows creases together. She taps a hoof on the ground while she keeps taking peeks inside. ]

All you do is walk and suddenly you're able to wield holy power? No being chosen? No obsessive devotion and prayer? This has to be a joke.

[Her stumbles almost take out someone else, but Jecht skips to the side before her horns or her hand can bowl him over, with more agility than you'd expect from a guy his size and build. About to offer her a hand up -- and she doesn't even notice.]

You all right there? [Jecht drops down to a knee, starting to scoop up the scattered papers.]

He does not know where he is, but it was a certain the location was not his home. For what his home was, the presence of machinery and just voices alarmed him. There should be no voices - not unless they're in his head, but slowly rising, there are people. And certainly none of the likes he'd seen before.

So... where?

There was something else more pressing. She's not here...

Brows pressing, he rose to his feet and proceeded to amble his way out of the makeshift infirmary, eyeing people as he did so. No, no, no... Where could she be?

[E. Let's Be Adventurers]

While he could sit down and read about the land, he preferred to going out and seeing it for himself. No better way to understand it unless one were to traverse it themselves... even if they were forced to be in the accompaniment of others. And it wasn't the large yellow bird-steed or small flying creature either.

Instead, he kept occasionally glancing sideways at the individual with him, watching them, but not saying anything before turning forward again.

[I. Random Encounter]

What stood before him didn't matter - all that did was that it was impeding his path by existing. And while he might not understand the technology of this world fully still, he understood combat. Several Gargoyles against him, fine, but he accepted the weight of the heavy broadsword into his hands and steeled himself.

There was someone else who was missing someone. Someone very close to him. Emu almost ran into Oswald, while he was lugging some potions to help the recovery of those who were rescued. "Whoa, hold on, you need to rest!"

[Courteous and polite to a fault, Mòrag accepts the maps and pamphlets with thanks and polite nods -- but her composure is perilously close to the edge, because she looks a bit brittle, and looking brittle for her is another person's breakdown. Her eyes constantly watch everywhere, flicking back and forth over the high collar of her coat.]

[No Blades. Not a single one.]

[As the helpful Center employee steps away to attend to another new arrival, her hand falls to her belt, where her swords -- Brighid's swords -- are most decidedly not. She feels not only weaker, but less whole a part of herself missing, and every motion needs to accommodate that.]

[This is intolerable.]

[Catching sight of someone she believes must have arrived to this world as she did, Mòrag smooths the frown off her expression and moves to address them.] Pardon me, but may I trouble you for the answer to a question?

E. Let's Be Adventurers

[The mission is simple: defeat a group of large wolflike creatures that are harassing travelers on the road. In Alrest this mission would be below her skill, but not beneath her dignity, and so she has no difficulty accepting both it and the necessity of aid on the battlefield. Arrogance and overconfidence are sure downfalls to the inexperienced, and like it or not, her skills rank her as no better than that.]

[She looks up from her slate, regarding her companion briefly through the iron bill of her cap, before she lifts her head entirely to address them.] What skills do you bring to this mission?

G. Get a Job

...Military employment is not an option as of now.

[Saying it out loud, even in a calm and reasonable tone, is evidence of how this shakes her. Military service is, of course, the one strength she has -- and though she finds it personally distasteful to pledge allegiance to anyone but her Emperor, her personal tastes were at no point consulted in any of this adventure here.]

[After a moment, Mòrag closes her eyes.] That's a pity.

"Sure, go right on a-" [As she turns around and their eyes meet, the recognition that flares up in Mythra is enough to freeze her in place, catch her off balance.]

"...Mòrag?" [She says it dumbfounded, caught in disbelief. She hadn't seen anyone from her world since she arrived, and in fact hadn't even expected she ever would see anyone. But there was no mistaking her. She supposed the change in outfit made her less recognizable, which is why Mòrag hadn't taken notice. Still, for the Special Inquisitor to be dragged here too... she hoped to the Architect the Empire didn't go into a panic.]

"Ah... hmm... huh."

This was a lot for her to take in and she was still attempting to wrap her head around it. Like, somehow she was pulled from this thing called "Dream Width" and she was, well, like this. And the place was called "Vaikuntha" and... "Wait, is that right?"

No, no, they were at the Curti Center and the world was Vaikuntha. Her cheeks puffed slightly and she decided to look around. Maybe she could ask someone? Or maybe she should figure out where she was staying? Where should she start?

"... Um, e-excuse me?"

[D. Guilds]

Ah, this was truly like one of her fantasy books! She could stand all day in the Guild and just watch people cast magic - real magic! And she could sit through all the courses and sign the paperwork, and then she'd get to use magic. And not only that, but she didn't have to actually fight; she could help other people!

This was only one Guild too, she couldn't wait to see the rest.

And give actual magic a try.

[J. Chocobo Madness]

She stared, it stared.

She raised a hand, it paused. Then she paused.

But soon, her hand was touching the beak of the large bird and her pink eyes widened. Petting with more enthusiasm, she giggled as the chocobo 'kweh~!' and immediately gave it a hug. Eyes big, she stared at the person with her. "Hey, hey! What should we name her?"

"Yes, can I help?" said Emu, turning towards Rosalia. He was still dressed in his Seito work uniform however, the doctors coat hanging over his shoulders like Kiriya would since it was so warm out.

[Ravus stands, stiff-backed and tall, in the Curti Center lobby, forgoing the staff members' information sessions in favor of reading through their literature. He flips through a pamphlet a little awkwardly with one hand. The long white sleeve of his coat hangs empty on his left side, his magitek arm lost to the Dream Width.]

This makes no sense. What cruel game are the Astrals playing now?

[He crumples the pamphlet and lets it fall to the ground, already moving on to the next in hopes of some explanation for his presence here.]

Guilds- Spoilers for FFXV Chapter 9

[His first Job was an easy enough choice for Ravus. He wears a borrowed sword at his side (though he hopes Fate will see fit to return his own glaive back to his hand), and plans to spend the next few months regaining his former sword fighting skills.

The second job, however...

He hesitates outside of the Summoner's Guild, brooding. The mantle of the Oracle, which had been denied him on Eos, finally resides within reach...too late to spare Lunafreya its burden.]

If the Astrals require more sacrifice from the line of Fleuret, they'll have to have it from me and none other.

[He steels himself and stalks into the Guild Hall to take on the asterisk. If all his Blood has been spilled and left him nothing but duty to live for, then he will see the Oracle's duty done.]

Sidequests

[The newly-fitted magitek prosthetic is a strange weight on his left side, but Ravus does not deign it worthy of comment. He'll not live on charity, which means earning enough gil to pay the Magitek Guild for the use of their equipment.]

I'll need a sizable bounty. [He comments, looking at the quest board.]

How barbaric, being reduced to hunting for my keep. Still, better a Hunter than a debtor. [That admission comes grudgingly, as does the assessing gaze right and left to find a companion for his quest. He'd greatly prefer to see to the quest alone, but his skill level does not allow it. He turns decisively, getting to the heart of it without concern for niceties like introductions or small talk.]

Join me. We'll see to this quickly and split the bounty equally.

[Emu was still outfitted in his White Mage outfit but he had his doctors jacket slung over his outfit. He looked at the bounty and flinched a little: on the quest board was a sizable bounty for a couple of humanoid creatures.]

I don't know if I'm ready for that, [said Emu hesitantly.] I'm a doctor, I can't go around killing things indiscriminately. I can heal you, but I'm meant to cure, not maim.

Okay, new world and new places, all that's well and good, but she had her attention elsewhere already. New world and new places meant new people and new scents; more importantly, new scents would lead to new foods. So while everyone else took their time to figure out where to go next or what to do, she just wandered off at a trot, head up and nose sniffing.

Until she got a snack after being brought to a new place, she wasn't going to consider doing much else.

[C. Up in the Sky]

Running back and forth next to the window, her tail was high and wagging. Occasionally, she will pause to stand on her hind legs and press her paws against the glass to look down to gaze at the passing landscape. There might be the one or two or ten barks as she saw something else that caught her interest, but at least she saved that for being on the deck.

Even with the Summoner's staff in her mouth, she was still managing to eat every other drop from the Octopi. Hope the individual accompanying her was in for the long-haul; her bottomless pit of a stomach knew no bounds. At least there was going to be plenty of Gil later.

Now, Jecht wasn't a man who's used to pets or animals or stuff like that. The busy life of a sports superstar, and later a Guardian, kinda didn't allow for the care and feedin' of animals.

He's guessing he probably shouldn't be planting one foot on the big ol' dog's muzzle to keep her away from the takoyaki he has held up high in his other hand, but screw it! He was going with what worked!

"Would you cut it out!? I'll buy you a bone or something when we get back! If we EVER get back, which we're not GONNA at this rate!"

[It's all so ludicrous. The cramped ship; the windows opening up not onto a city, or a forest, or an ocean, but onto the star-splashed black of space; the simple fact that she isn't in Japan, but rather is trapped on a strange ship with strange people – most of whom are so unexpectedly different from what she was used to in everything from how they carry themselves, to how they speak, to how they dress, that they are only familiar for being human.

Briefly, she considers whether this is all another display of Geass' power, but that seems more ridiculous than the circumstances are. Even Geass has its limits. With no other possible explanation, she moves away from the window and towards the nearest unoccupied person she sees, and she asks:]

B. Curti Center:

[Cornelia has been looking over the job listings for a while now, and has been frowning for almost as long. Though she isn't expecting a response, she speaks loudly and clearly enough that it might seem like she's attempting to start a conversation.]

Must everything here have ties to magic?

G. Get a Job:
[If anyone's looking at the military listing, she'll be approaching from behind and waiting a respectable distance away for them to finish reading. When they have, she asks,]

[Not too far from a herd of chocobos, Cornelia is attempting to discourage one from following her. She's not very successful.]

[Cornelia is sitting on her bed, dressed in a short-sleeved housecoat. There are empty bandage pad packets and rolls of gauze placed neatly beside her, along with medical tape and a tub of scar cream. The room has the vague smell of medicine; she has already treated the wounds under her housecoat, and now she's rubbing ointment into the ones on her arms and legs.

She hasn't been gentle with her injuries in the two months since Schneizel had shot her down, but she has been dutiful in her own treatment. Going renegade, going underground, working beneath the increasingly omnipresent gaze of Emperor Lelouch had meant going without proper medical attention while she healed. Now there's no point in seeking assistance. They're ugly but they don't worry her, they don't hinder her.

Besides, in this world where so few things feel right, treating these injuries is the closest she has to a routine. It's almost comforting for that fact alone.]

[Her iMog slate is making noise. It's vibrating. Both are obnoxiously distracting. There are so many other things she wants to pay attention to – people and creatures and buildings and streets and plants and all the little locational details she knows she'll have to memorise quickly so she'll never be at the disadvantage of being lost – that the device seems like the least compelling thing around her.

Then she thinks, maybe someone has recognised her; then she thinks, maybe it's important. The people surrounding her now will still be around tomorrow, and the layout of the city won't change. This may be her only opportunity to take the call, or receive the text, or respond to whatever else is awaiting her on her iMog.

[While Ji and this chocobo are both blond--Ji's much lighter, but still--and have similar hairstyles, they're very dissimilar. Clearly the chocobo doesn't share this opinion, because it keeps attempting to preen the human's hair so that it sticks up even more than normal. Ji put up with it at first, but now he's much like to move away but is fairly sure that the bird will chase after him and doesn't want to anger it.]

Excuse me, can you give me a hand and distract this bird for a minute?

This nice young man just accidentally handed Frisk a pamphlet on bird porn. Frisk turns the pamphlet back around to face Ji, smiling wryly. "Your next line will be to double take and start stammering awkwardly."

C - Airships

Well, this is a little odd. He's used to airships back in his world, but he's not used to being on them - at least, not as a passenger. Still, it is rather fascinating to step out onto the open deck and watch the world pass by below. He looks over the railing to get a better view, one hand on the rail while the other keeps a fancy-looking red beret from flying off of his head.

It's not long, though, before he notices that he's not alone, and he glances over to the being joining him on the deck. "Guess you need some air, too?"


E/F - On The Road Again...

Now, this is familiar, regardless of which world he's in. Heading out into the wilds, maybe even with a little quest to complete, fully stocked up and ready to go... Cor's face seems to not be as stoic as usual, even as he checks his copy of the local map. His gear's more dark in colors today, borrowed katana and knife on either side of him. "So we should be closing in on our destination soon... Tommy, no."

The last two words were spoken like a stern parent towards a Moogle with green-dyed fur, and who's dressed up in full-on Tomberry cosplay. The little guy, however, is freezing in mid-reach of Cor's knife. "K-Kupo~, but I wanna help..."

"You can have it when we get there, and not one second earlier." Turning his attention away from the disappointed Moogle, he glances back at his companion(s). "Anyway, I think we're only an hour tops from where we should be heading to...."


G - Gotta Make a Livin'

Oh, it's one of those cute themed cafes! A cat-themed one, too! And judging from the sign set up listing the daily specials, it even includes live cats. Though one could figure that out just from the few cats watching and lounging on the windowsills. As soon as anyone enters, though, there's one particular orange tabby that runs up to them, meowing insistently while staring up expectantly at the newcomer.

"Don't mind Tigger - he's a begger." Aaaand there's Cor, manning the register and looking stoic despite the kitty ears headband on his head "What can I get for you?"

[There has been much to test his sanity since he arrived here, but this might be the most disquieting sight Ravus has seen yet. He looks, bewildered, from the cat, to the fake feline marshal, to the cafe counter behind them.]

To say that being abducted was a first would be a lie. However, to say she had arrived somewhere far beyond Earth? Yes, that was a new one.

Considering the state of the room she was in, it wasn't really prepared for assisting too many. Well, that was fine; she didn't need help anyway. Standing up and leaving, it left space for someone else who might need it and meant she could have a look around. They were on a ship... alright, but looking over the other heads that were here, there were so many.

Years of medical experience had fortunately prepared her for this. It would pay the bills that would soon be housing and other necessities since they couldn't remain at the Curti Center (something which she was fine with not doing); however, the reasons some people came in were just as ridiculous - if not, more now - than ones that brought people in back in her own world.

Fortunately, she would try to... refrain from staring at everyone who came in because of something minor. Even if they needed to stop.

This encounter had been going for a while, but the monster was proving wily. Problem with ones more resistant to physical attacks she supposed, but maybe if those with her wouldn't mind trying to shift their asterisks? Or at least reconsider their current strategy of rushing in.

[The containment held a strange creature. Its form was feminine, but a cursory gaze would see awkward, alien features. She winces, drawing a hand toward her tentacled head. Her eyes-three in total-clench tightly as in pain. Barely any time passes as they open revealing solid red orbs.]

[As though in a haze, she looks around the room with her fellow passengers. Where was she and why was everything so quiet? She was used to hearing more -- the hum of the air, the pulse of the ground, the movement of stars. Why were they silent?]

[Her focus changes to herself and the form that she was currently in. This would not do. The native species would know immediately that she was not one of them and would change their behaviors. Yet when she tried to shift there was nothing.]

[A sharp, raspy voice echoed in unnatural resonance from her mouth.] Where in the void am I this time??

F. Sidequest

[Mercifully Yg'baladoth discovered to her satisfaction that there was a job that would allow her to reclaim some of her lost power: Illusionist. With a little bit of practice, the cthuloid girl had a form she was much more comfortable being. With that sorted, her next mission was to observe the area.]

[The mission she choose seemed pretty easy, all told: take some food from Hisan City to the Rosey Industrial Site. While the chance of encountering monsters was low, the brigands may decide that they too would like a meal.]

[So to prevent that the food was to be delivered by a small group of people. Yggy waited impatiently at the rendezvous point, wondering what was taking the other person so long to appear.]

[Frankly Yggy wasn't sure what she was expecting before coming here, but it certainly wasn't large birds. They seemed... marginally intelligent, but they were horrible conversationalists.]

That was the question of the day, wasn't it. She couldn't even remember what she'd been doing before waking up aboard this ... hey. Where was she? This didn't seem like any kind of place she'd been to before. Or at least that's what she's assuming. But it's hard to say. A quick glance around told her she wasn't alone, though, and that was a comforting thought.

"So um... where are we?" she questioned the nearest person.

This was going to be so great! She'd never been on an airship before. Right? Either way, it seemed like a fun way to spend an afternoon, and so here she was!

Never one to sit idle, Marinette was completely on board with the idea of finding ways to make herself useful. The idea of guilds was appealing to her in the fact that it meant things were organized and therefore probably easier to get the hang of.

The only problem with that was now she was kind of at a loss as to what Job to choose for herself. She knew how to cook, and she knew how to sew, and she could design just about anything - how she knew that, she wasn't entirely sure, but it was one of the very few things she did remember so she's not questioning it.

"Hmmm..." And so now she's standing with the crowd of spectators as they await the demonstrations. Maybe this would help her decide?

The notion of needing a Job as well as a job was a little amusing, but she was generally the type to want to pull her own weight rather than rely on the charity of others. Which was why she's currently poring over her iMog in search of something that would fit.

Zelgadis was used to having skin that can turn blades. It means that he forgets how bad 'not wearing armor' and 'using melee weapons' goes. So when he switched into Swordmaster class from Black Mage, it didn't occur to him that getting in melee was a bad idea.

So now a geezard has managed to draw blood. Not much blood, but Zelgadis forgot how much cuts hurt. "You'll pay for that."

Euphemia was actually rather fond of the attire. It was somewhat courtly and reminded her of nobles at home. She couldn't help but overhear the conversation between the unfamiliar individual and his Moogle. Of course, her fixation was more on his appearance than the Moogle itself. He was definitely different in appearance.

"I think it would look wonderful on you. Perhaps you should try it on first before you decline?" She suggested at random from behind, hands folded to her front and a somewhat slight smile on her lips.

[The slight young man in the loud, early 20th century clothes looks very overwhelmed by all the information given to him, and the new world around him. This place is much, much different than Earth in 1901, even the fantastical version he comes from. He tries to act like everything's okay, however. Normally, that's something he's good at, but this is too much. On top of everything else, too, he's now stuck in his human form, making him even more anxious.

Anyone giving him any looks will be greeted with a big, bright, and very fake smile. See, everything's fine!]

[Luckily for the red-clad mage, Ravus is so very willing to fight a creature. He is not happy to be here, so it is useful to have an outlet for his anger.]

Close your eyes, you fool! [He shouts as he charges at the cockatrice, sword drawn. A sword strike is enough to drive the creature back momentarily, though nowhere near enough to kill it or make it flee.]

Its eyes can petrify you. Unless you'd prefer to be a statue, do not look at it directly.

[Finn stood in the middle of the street, his arms overflowing with various maps, pamphlets, guides, business cards, and other things he hadn't bothered to take inventory of. Currently, he was too busy staring blankly at the space between him and the brick wall of some building or other.]

[The people had certainly been nice. Pushy but nice. They gave him information, told him the general gist of what happened, and dropped him off at his new residence with a wave of good luck.]

[He was just having a bit of trouble adjusting. The only words he had said since waking were "Um" and "Sure" and "What the hell" and "Thanks for the pamphlet."]

[Is this what a panic attack felt like? He couldn't breathe... Felt like Jakku all over again... This is probably what a panic attack felt like.]

[Finn wasn't entirely too keen on signing up for an armed force that wasn't the Resistance. Or the Republic for that matter but details. Still, he needed to do something to protect himself and he wanted to know more about this place. He wasn't going to be used anymore and he wasn't going to take orders blindly either. So long as he trusted himself. He'd be okay. Surely.]

[Anyway, he was good with a blaster, so taking the trip to Tark Varentain to join the Gunslingers didn't seem like a terrible idea. Except it was a military town and the snow reminded him of Starkiller and everyone was kinda super rude.]

[All he needed were directions! After the next person ignored him, he turned and started following someone else.]

[Gabe wasn't the best fighter ever but he didn't really like fighting in the best of circumstances. He was more of a "live to fight another day" kind of guy. That said, his new and fancy Dragoon abilities were sorta fun to use.]

[So anyway, there's an archangel being chased by a swarm of Divebeaks through the woods. He's running and darting and jumping as quick as he's able but the damn things are keeping pace just enough to not be funny.]

On the one hand, moogle costumes were soft and floofy and cute and unthreatening.

Frisk groans, their eyes fluttering open as the low murmur of conversation reaches their ears. Must've been one wild trial. Is this what being hungover felt like? More importantly, why did they feel hungover? "Ugh, Papyrus, who are you-" Their eyes widen--not that it helps much--and they take in their new surroundings. "Papyrus!"

Getting to their feet and stumbling through the crowd, the strange, yellow-skinned child with brown hair and a pink shirt that proudly proclaims "COOL DUDE!" stumbles through the crowd, muttering, "Sorry, excuse me, coming through, looking for a skeleton, has anybody seen a skeleton? Where am I anyways? Who are all you- Woah!" Frisk comes to the window and gawks out at space. It was at times like this that they wished that they hadn't been so stubborn about getting glasses. But still... where was Papyrus?

Frisk wanders aimlessly through the Curti Center, wincing at the bright light. It was all so... future-y. And not crazy "I am going to kill and/or torture you in the most horrible way possible" like in Hotland. It would've been nice... if they could still save and load. After three days Underground, it would take some time to get used to not having the world's best safety net. Too busy people-watching the crowd and aimlessly worrying to pay attention to their surroundings, Frisk trips over somebody's shoes. They pry their face off the ground and look up at whoever they tripped over, smiling cheesily. "Are you gravity? Because I'm falling for you," they say, waggling their eyebrows and making finger guns.

Random Encounter
"Nope nope nope nope nope!" Frisk yells, running at top speed away from an angry monster, springboarding from tree to tree and grinding down logs as fast as their sneakered feet can take them. Thank the stars for the ninja job that they took, because if they didn't have the asterisk Frisk was fairly certain they'd be dead meat.

From what information he's been given so far, he has somehow ended up in another world, with no mamory of how in the Six that came to be. And this isn't new to the natives, people coming in from another world...

What is distracting, though, is when some young person trips over his shoes. He glances down at...them? Them, trying to see if they're alright...

And then they pull some of the lamest pick-up lines he's ever heard. Was that some kind of setup to get a quick date, or is he just siezing the moment? Giving the kid a disappointing look, he simply speaks in two words: "Not interested."

By paging through a particularly interesting tome, Lezard occupied himself on foot, strolling casually back from a village shop and along a rather lonesome path. He sought no benches, no particularly shady trees, but decided he was so eager to get into the contents of this block of written word that he had to walk and read at the same time.
