No seriously. This is cr I never expected to evolve like this?? He doesn't play things quite so close to the chest with him because they both are looking out for the whole. And also because Noctis doesn't press. They both could be breaking down a bit and they just skirt around the bad to focus on their conversation. While Noctis is very much like Keith that's not why he's opening up.

Their attitudes as leaders mesh so well. They understand the stakes once they talk and their objective is to protect. All of this combine is what is breaking through Shiro's walls. Noctis has a lot of his respect for all he's endured and is projected to endure. Having all that power and seeing it in action won't change a damn thing between them.

Noctis is Noctis and he'll support his friend as best as he can. Also your uncle is a dick. Just saying.

I honestly didn't expect it either, but. Here it is.

He knows better than to press. He doesn't like people pressing on him, either. That, and his best buddy has anxiety. Kind of used to skirting around the bad. Noctis is grateful for it from Shiro, too.
