Funny aside: In his first game he was actually roommates with Yosuke and then ended up housemates with Minato in MoL. Don't mind me, just laughing at how he attracts Persona users.

like the name change makes sense in the context of the game but beyond that it's still just weird

well, in the context of the game, all of your confidants eventually figure out you're a phantom thief but choose to keep quiet/trust you, thus becoming co-conspirators in a way.

add that to confidant, confide, keep confidence, etc. so it makes sense, I still use social link anyway haha.
