A. RETRIEVAL Dreams fade slowly, and awareness returns in increments. The hum of machinery, the smell of recycled air, the murmurs of others waking up around you. The interior of the ship has been outfitted with cots for those Biggs and Wedge retrieve from the Dream Width. Outside of the makeshift infirmary, windows set into the walls of the worn lounge area offer a view of space. It’s time to meet your fellow new arrivals who have been brought together on Biggs and Wedge’s airship. None of you know how you came to be here or where you are going, and the door to the cockpit is locked as the pilots focus on navigating the treacherous obstacles of the Dream Width. You might as well take this moment to introduce yourself to your fellow travelers. B. CURTI CENTER There’s an almost overwhelming aura of excitement in the tower as researchers rush to document this unprecedented number of interdimensional travelers. Over the commotion, the leaders of the Center struggle to explain, ‘Welcome to Vaikuntha. We don’t know why you’ve been brought here, but this is your new home.’ The staff will do their best to help the off-worlders settle in. They answer the questions they can, provide maps and pamphlets about the world and the destinations within it, and even guide the arrivals to a neighborhood where housing has been provided for you. Yes, due to the strange influx of arrivals, you’ll be expected to share, but the Curti staff are doing the best they can under the circumstances. Experiences like these bring people together. Perhaps you are the only one here from your world, but at least you are not alone in this experience. Others are right beside you, learning the same information, planning trips to visit the same new cities, checking out these Job things, and settling in to their new (temporary) homes. C. UP IN THE SKY There’s a whole new world to explore. It’s almost enough to distract from the fact that there’s one place you can’t go- home. You are on an Airship, the main mode of transportation between the major cities of Vaikuntha. While the majority are owned by airlines, perhaps you hitched a ride with a friend that has their own. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness. D. GUILDS Proud representatives of the Guild are lined up, ready to demonstrate their skills for the new initiates. Make sure to stay behind the designated line, this might get dangerous. So you want a new Job? You'll have to first travel to the Guilds, sign the papers, go through the orientation and introductory lectures, and get basic training. Afterwards, you can freely chat and practice with your fellow members, celebrating your new powers, and checking out your new wardrobe. E. LET'S BE ADVENTURERS Separated from all of your material possessions, connections, and everything you know, and really, what you’re left with is time. Better try to make the most of it. Enough expository banter. It's explorin' time. Maybe instead of spending every day in your room, you'd rather spend it living it up in the city of Lavode, or betting on Chocobo Races in Sparks Goldsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the caves and ruins near Arito. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere! F. SIDEQUESTS Maybe you’re telling yourself, ‘I didn’t sign up for this.’ But wait, you did. At least it pays. It all started when you checked the Quest Board.  All you wanted was a few gil to spend, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or you could be asked to be janitor for a week. Consider yourself lucky though, at least you don't have to do that alone. G. GET A JOB (THE OTHER KIND) You’ve got a Job, but Claire keeps sighing and muttering about layabout space-people not earning their keep, so it might be time to seek out Employment as well. There are plenty of opportunities to earn some gil in Vaikuntha, no matter where you choose to settle down. Your iMog slate includes listing for employment opportunities. Hopefully you can find something you can live with so that you can start saving up for an airship or the security payment for your permanent housing. H. MOGNET *Ding!* You’ve got Mog-Mail! Thankfully, you can instantaneously chat with your friends around the world thanks to you iMog Slate. And unlike old-fashioned Moogle Letters, you can even send messages to everyone in a blink of an eye! However, despite the change in technology, the old tradition of Mognet Strikes have never gone away. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public boards or risk message corruption and mishandling. I. RANDOM ENCOUNTER The ground trembles, and out of nowhere, something hostile appears! Is that battle music playing? You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Will you try to fight on your own or seek help? A. Retrieval

[Stirring from her surprised slumber, Camilla was expecting to see her siblings and Corrin around after that last battle. Was she hit unexpectedly and injured? She didn't feel or see any bandages on her person so that cannot be right. Not only that but the structure she was in now did not look like anything from Nohr or Hoshido...was it Valite? And where was everyone? And why does it feel like the room is moving?]

Oh dear, this was not what I was expecting at all.

[And where was her axe and wyvern comrade?]


2. Curti Center

I'm afraid there is a mistake; I am needed back in my world.

[Camilla does not sound panicky but there is a sense of urgency in her tone along with her sweetness. It's not her fault that the workers are telling her this place is her new home now and they are truly not trying to provoke the nice lady who has some form of armor and panties and nice assets that they are certainly not staring nope nope.]

Hmmm. Well then, perhaps I can go back through the Dream Width to return home.

D. Guilds

[Normally she uses axes but Camilla was a bit curious about this Dark Knight guild because it looked very different than what Leo normally does. So why not? However as she goes through basic training, there is the one recruit that everyone hates. You know, the assholes who think they're hot stuff and gift to all? Making a snide comment to Camilla about how she looked and how this guild was no place for her...that is until she smiles sweetly and lifts the man over her head.

Now this scene was also in a public setting so anyone can see this. And Camilla is smirking because he brought it on himself.]

Oh silly me, I must be too much for you to handle. Are you sure that I am unfit for this guild?

I. Random Encounter aka Run Away from the Crazy Lady

[The poor monsters did not realize that trying fight Camilla is a very terrible idea. Mainly because once she sees an enemy, she does not hold back. Give Camilla a huge weapon and you can bet she will get it bloody before the day ends.]

Did it hurt?

[She smirks as she raises her weapon and goes to town on the monsters, thankfully no hamsters were around otherwise the situation would be far worse and end up terrible on her end. But do you watch her work while breaking out the popcorn, help her out in case she needs some healing, or something else...?]

[Folding her arms, she sighs because the other woman is indeed right. This deeprealm did not give her back everything but only the clothes on her back and let's face it, she's more of the 'hit everything' kind of plan rather than 'make a battle strategy'. That's mainly Leo's job.]

Even if so, I cannot just accept that I am supposed to stay here.

I'm not the biggest admirer of the situation either. If they are unable to find a proper solution, I recommend that we should do so instead. Mind you it will take time, but it's better than a domestic life-style while your mind begs for answers.

[Although so far, Caster had no intent on returning. But she was curious about all of this. And if there was a way to gain back her abilities, even better.]

It's either that or going into the unknown with only your fists. Personally, I like not throwing my life away.

I. Random Encounter, because apparently they're allies or something?

[It's like they say: keep your friends close, your enemies closer, and your supposed friend-enemies that are the only familiar faces in a bizarre world (deeprealm?)... in a weird space in-between.

Takumi couldn't claim he wasn't still wary of the Nohrian princess and her claims that, as far as she was concerned, they were friends and allies, but he was at least familiar with how she fought and was able to keep at range to pick off anything nibbling at her heels while she went on a rampage. He just had to keep his guard up in case she decided to turn on him against her word.]

[The frustration in his voice sounded biting enough, but honestly half of it was from the frustration of having to draw his arrows from his quiver and the knowledge that - no matter how well-prepared he was - he risked having a limited number of shots before the beasts were all dead.]

[She isn't the type who can trust as easily as her sweet little Corrin but she knows that the second Hoshidian prince can be someone she can at least trust her life into for certain situations. For starters, she knows that he's had multiple chances of cornering her in this deeprealm (?) and hasn't tried anything yet. Keyword: yet.

But for all the creatures that came towards her, a lowly crawling monster thought it could try to go after the Ranger but Camilla's head snapped back and her heel went down on its tail.]

[And in one swoop, stabs it dead through its back.]

[Without her wyvern, Camilla was left leaving the aerial threats to Takumi - and that's why his next arrow went through a particularly disturbing-looking bird's throat. It wasn't his fault that the thing's inertia left it falling uncomfortably close to Camilla's feet.]

If you start saying things like that people will start thinking you trust me or something!

You haven't tried to kill me. Does that count for something?

[Well...does it? And besides, the dead bird monster doesn't seem to phase her as she shrugs, watching for any other monsters ready to pop out. It seems that the waves have gotten smaller but she will not count them running off in defeat.]

[Followed by a sigh from someone watching the proceedings, before stepping up. And putting on his best Commander Chrom voice.]

"This is a training hall, not a place for a brawl. But this said... Sir, I think you owe this woman an apology."

[Yeah, you kind of walked into that one, not-so-good sir. Maybe it's just personal experience and bias speaking, but Chrom has long since learned that any woman has a good chance of being always right, being capable of kicking his arse, being a strong fighter in her own right.]

[He simply started to whimper because he sure did mistake Camilla for just boobs and nothing else. Meanwhile, it would be simply easy for her to just drop him on his arse but Camilla decided to take it one step further: holding him as if she were cradling a child and set him feet down so he could simply stand. If anything, being handled like a newborn was much more embarrassing as he ran away, the woman shrugging because he sure was a bunch of hot air.]

I think he's learned his lesson, don't you think?

You seem to have taken control of an army before with how you were able to show authority just now.

[Amelia was starting to wonder if she'd made the wrong choices. Sure, Monk and Paladin fit with her idea of a Champion of Justice (if one accepts that Amelia does not like actual weapons), but suddenly a good Recovery spell seems handy when her companion is kicking the snot out of some monsters. Or, well, actual offensive magic.]

[She'd persevere, though. Her allies needed her!]

Hang on, I'll help! Tastes the fist of just retribution, monsters!

[Poor child, she knows not of what she has gotten into when it comes to Camilla. But it's kind of cute since her yell reminds her of one of Elise's retainers and Justice.]

Oh my, you must have some good fists to do that.

[But these are the enemy...and Camilla never holds back when it comes to her opponents. And that usually includes quite a bit of screaming and maiming. It's not an axe but she can use her sword just as good with the training from the guild. Amelia better duck with the sudden kick and lizard creature flying off over her head and into a tree.]

[You know what? Forget anything she has ever said about Camilla not treating her like the adult she is. Right now Corrin is so very happy to see one of her siblings. Not that anyone really needs to worry about Camilla, considering how strong she is, but it does put Corrin at ease knowing that her big sister isn't harmed.

Hopefully Camilla doesn't object to the hug she's about to receive.]

[She honestly thought she was alone on this metal vessel but hearing her sister's voice snaps her out of her wandering funk. Camilla cannot help but beam as Corrin comes to hug her and returns the favor with a strong one of her own. But being safe not to squish her in Marshmellow Hell]

[But it's so soft! Actually Corrin isn't going to complain about Camilla and her very strong affections. Not right now. Just having one of her siblings along makes Corrin feel so much more grounded.]

I could say the same about you! [And the only reason she is going to let go is so she can look up at Camilla.] ...Not that you'd have any trouble with anyone. It's just I thought maybe I had lost everyone.

[It was the adrenaline that made Camilla not notice if she had any wounds but she is grateful for the assistance nonetheless.]

[And her sword when a monster thought it could snack on the White Mage, only to be greeted with said sword to the face.]

...perhaps I am too unused to it, still, the cadence of combat, and the bloodshed it demands.

[ So easily, with a grace which seemed innate to her, she'd felled the creature which had drawn much too close to his heels, hoping to sink fangs into its prey. How had he failed to notice its approach? The answer is, of course, that his focus had been upon the Dark Knight and her wounds, his concern for her outweighing thoughts of his own safety and the monsters which had yet to be silenced both.

But... how had she drawn the enmity of so very, very many beasts? Raising his stave, he casts a summons for wind, using the bright arcs of his magic to drive the creatures which would encroach upon them back, temporarily keeping gnashing teeth and wicked claws at bay. ]

Though you are strong enough to endure injury, you need not wear it as though it were your crown.

[ But that is only how he feels, isn't it? She likely has her own sentiments upon the matter. Distantly, he wonders at them. Who she is, beyond her blade and armor. ]

It's not your fault, not everyone is accustomed to fight.

[Watching the gales knock back the monsters, they stay away only for a few seconds before going back up on task and try to bum rush the mage. Monsters may not be intelligent for the most part but if they are helping the one with the sword, it is best to bring them down first. But they do need to remember about the one with the sword because she can sure hit hard.

Upon his suggestion, Camilla nods and raises her weapon up to her eyes.]

Of course, I will not turn down anyone wanting to help. [And rightfully so since one of her default attacks, Soul Eater, is the type to also take her own health. Best that a healer is present just in case.]
